Sunrise Ranch is a simple, peaceful retreat, event center, and spiritual community. The atmosphere is welcoming and unassuming, the staff friendly and helpful. Most people feel at home right away, even first timers.

The Ranch is  located about 75 minutes from Boulder and 90 minutes from Denver. The nearest town is Loveland, minutes away, and the nearest small city is Ft. Collins, 35 minutes away. Rocky Mountain National Park is 35 miles from Loveland.

Sunrise Ranch  is a real ranch, and as such,  serves three nourishing healthy meals per day of mostly home grown food. Chef Barrett can accommodate vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free choices.

Mobile phones generally do not work at Sunrise Ranch. There are no phones in the rooms, but there is  access to public phones in the administration building. Wireless high-speed internet is available.

A schedule and details will be sent to all those staying at the hotel well before the training start date.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Our cancellation policies are created and maintained largely due to the extensive waitlist that develops for each training, and the fact our groups are intentionally kept small. In light of this, we ask registrants to let us know as soon as possible if cancellation is necessary. Please register only if you are sure (barring the unforeseen) you can and will come to the training.

You will receive a due date for your tuition balance when you register, and balances are indicated on each training home page. We will send out one reminder before the balance is due. If the balance is not received by this deadline you will forfeit your deposit and registration. Please put this deadline in your calendar.

  • Your balance for Story As Medicine™ is due by April 7th, 2025.

We will send out one reminder before the balance is due. Please plan to pay by the due date, or we will assume you are not coming.

To pay your balance, please CLICK HERE

    • A $500 deposit is required to register. The deposit is refundable less $100 cancellation fee up to 4 weeks after you register. After that the deposit is non refundable.

    • The final tuition balance ($1625) will be due Monday April 7, 2025

    • 50% of the balance ($837.50) is refundable if cancelled before May 5, 2025

    • No refunds if cancelled after May 5, 2025.

  • Our registration software provider offers purchase protection to offer a reimbursement if you are unable to travel due to health reasons. Please note that this program is offered by a third party and Maven Productions does not manage or administer claims.

    What is Regpack Purchase Protection?

Purchase Protection is a service that can reimburse you if you need to cancel unexpectedly due to health reasons.

Who qualifies for Regpack Purchase Protection?

Anyone is eligible if this service is offered. Physical products and/or merchandise are not covered by this service, but if you're attending a conference, event, camp, or training course you can be reimbursed if can't attend because you, or a member of your family, gets sick or unexpectedly passes away.

    What does reimbursement include?

As noted above, it doesn't cover physical products or merchandise, and it doesn't include cost of separate travel, but it does include the cost of attending the event, camp, conference, or program and travel if it is included in the cost of the program.

Additional Info

  • The health, safety and well-being of the group is our primary concern and priority. This policy is in place for the benefit of all.

    • Before you arrive: negative test within 48 hours of arrival is required for all learners to enter the training.

    • For your personal safety and that of our group, we encourage all guests to monitor for symptoms of Covid-19 and other illnesses before your visit and while at the training.

    • Please bring masks as they might be needed, but unless there is another outbreak, masks will be optional. For some they are not optional due to their own health concerns.

    • Please bring two home tests to the training.

    • Please be advised, if you test positive for COVID while at the training you will be asked to return home. If we can quarantine you without disrupting our limited housing capacity, we will do that.

    • Masks are required, even with a negative Covid-19 test, if symptoms of active infection arise during the training.

    • If you test positive after returning home, let us know as soon as possible, so that we can follow up with our administrative person accordingly.

    • We are unable to offer refunds if you test positive for COVID while at the training.

    • Your signature on our COVID waiver is required to attend.

  • Colorado receives about 300 days of sunshine a year. We are dry and mountainous, and the temperature and conditions can vary widely. Expect as low as 40 degrees Fahrenheit at night and 70-80's during the day. We suggest you bring layers and be sure to include a sweater, light jacket, and short sleeve and long sleeve shirts or blouses. The meeting space is air-conditioned. Everything is casual, so be comfortable. There are hiking trails and lovely, quiet dirt roads to explore, so bring sturdy shoes if you like to walk. You are a mile above sea level here and the sun is very strong. Sunglasses and sunscreen are a must if you plan to hike and walk often during the day.

You will need to drink a lot of water, so a water bottle would be handy. Campers, be sure to bring a good ground cloth and a tent rain fly, just in case. We can get quick changes in the weather here in mountain/desert/plains country. Tenting will put you on a bumpy lawn very close to the facilities. Bring a good, thick sleeping pad and flashlight.

  • You will not be near a food store. The Ranch will provide a snack during the day as well as meals. If you have special food needs please contact the Ranch to make arrangements. Community refrigerators are available for medications and your own snacks. They sell chocolate in the office, thankfully.

  • All phones, computers, iPads, and devices must be turned off completely --no exceptions-- while in the meeting space. We prefer you do not bring these into the meeting room.

You are welcome to bring pillows and water bottles. We will provide cushions and floor seats with backrest for those who prefer to sit on the floor, but floor space will be limited. Please do not sit on the floor in front of the first row of seats. If you need to stand up to rest your back, please stand near a wall. Do not stretch or do exercises in the meeting space.

There will be no tables, so if you wish to take notes consider bringing a notebook, clipboard, or something to write on.

Do not wear fragrances of any kind while at the training or use products with fragrances. Many people have allergic reactions to strong perfumes, including essential oils and homeopathic oils.

Please plan to attend every meeting with Dr. Estés Réyes from 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM every day, and the first and last meetings June 4th and June 9th. If travel arrangements prevent you from attending the entire training, please let us know. Our policy is for everyone who wishes to attend to be present for all meetings.

  • Dr. Estés Réyes will not be able to consult with participants personally. Please do not bring books or manuscripts to this event for her. If in your culture gifts to the teacher show gratitude, bring only something she can use for ceremony.

There may be a book signing if time allows. If we do this we will collect one item for signing per person, and then return the item the last full day. We'll make an announcement about this.

Please do not take photos of Dr. Estés Réyes at any time. We ask you to respect Dr. Estés Réyes’ time and space in all ways as she will be resting between teaching sessions. Please do not approach her on breaks, so she may have a break also.

Thank you for your cooperation and consideration.
